Captain’s Reports;
1st
Team; E.Shillcock said, the team had won Promotion but was a bit disappointed
that they let the championship slip. However, the club players need to show a
lot more commitment, especially in the field as fielding was pretty poor
throughout the club. He would also like to see a big improvement in the wickets
and square next season, as this season the wicket s were very poor.
2nd
Team; (Separate Attached Sheet, unavailable).
Sunday Team; Nick Davies said only 4 games played, all 4 won. Rest of Sunday games called off (Bad Weather). However, the 2 games against Mochdre CC for the (Mike Steen Cup) resulted in a win each with Mochdre narrowly winning with the overall runs. 2
Mid-Week games were played, both won.
Ladies Celts; (Separate Attached Sheet, unavailable).
Colts Midweek; Played 10 games, winning only 1 but improvement was made on last
season and all players enjoyed the season. The Under 13’s only managed to play 1
game losing heavily, but had fun. However, more junior members are needed.
Groundsman’s Report; G.Meredith said he had a bad year struggling with
effort and time and ran out of steam at times. He said he needs more help.
Several players offered him help, without much response from Graham.
