COMMITTEE MEETING 24TH February 2005

MINUTES
Present; A.Lavery, T.Davies, P.Davies, B.Steen, O.Kelly, H.Kelly, E.Shillcock, N.Davies, S.Wypler, K.McIntyre.
Apologies; A.Baker, E.Downes.
Minutes of Previous Meeting (27-01-01); Approved. Proposed by P.Davies. Seconded by E.Shillcock.
Matters Arising;
1. No Progress had been made with the ground maintenance; G.M did not attend the meeting. This matter is now out of hand. A.L will try to contact G.M and see if he is still interested in preparing the ground or not??
2. S.W will see if he can get a roller on loan, just to get the season started.
3. The committee will look at second hand mowers if anyone can find any offers.
4. It was agreed that the ground be made available for Rhos Fynach on alternate Monday evenings. Proposed by K.M. Seconded by T.D.
5. A.L Proposed and Seconded by O.K that the Evening ground charge be increased to £18-00 per match. Approved.
Treasurer’s Report; Treasurer unavailable, an update report received and copy attached.
Correspondence;
1. A.L received a request from the MG Cars Club via the Conwy Council for the club to use the ground to end their car rally on Sunday 25th August (Approx 150 cars) from 2.00pm / 4.30pm (Arrival times). H.K proposed that this request be turned down, that cricket at this time of year should come first. O.K seconded this proposal. It was unanimously passed by the Committee.
2. T.D had written to Inspector Ian Maxwell. He has accepted an invitation to meet club members etc. Date to be arrange
Cricket Matters;
1. A.L said that the 2 hour indoor nets would cost £15-00 per hour. It was proposed by E.S and seconded by N.D that the charges remain as per last season. Adult’s £1-50 & Juniors 50p per session.
2. A.L reported that he had several possibilities lined up for matches for the club tour. Wednesdays has been difficult owing to Mid Week League in Derbyshire.
3. O.L said she was still in need of a further 8 persons at least to fill the accommodation booked for the June tour.
4. The Annual start of Season club game will be Sunday 17th April.
5. It was agreed that the club offer the use of the ground for the Annual League Sixes Competition on Sunday June 19th.
Any Other Business;
1. H.K was concerned as to the position of Andy Greenland’s standing with the club. H.K will contact A.G and invite him to indoor nets and progress as is deemed necessary.
2. K.M said how disappointed she was John Huband in not helping or attending any of the ladies matches, as he had said he would, and yet he could name every player (Bat or Bowler) in the Prestatyn Ladies Team. T.D was asked to write to J.H on this matter and K.M would liaise with T.D in doing so.
3. B.S proposed that the club was in need of some new crockery (Cups & Plates in particular). T.D seconded proposal. It was agreed that B.S could spend around £50-00 to acquire crockery.
