MINUTES
Present; A.Lavery, T.Davies, P.Davies, O.Kelly, E.Downes, S.Wypler.
Apologies; K.McIntyre, B.Steen, E.Shillcock, N.Davies, A.Baker.
Minutes of Previous Meeting (30-09-04); Approved. Proposed by O.Kelly. Seconded by E.Downes.
Matters Arising;
1. A.L reported that 10 persons did not turn up for the club
Dinner/Presentation Night, and Rhos-On-Sea had charged £25-00. It was proposed by A.L and seconded by S.W and approved by committee that £10-00 per head be returned to the absentee’s out of the original cost of £14-00 per head. A.L will inform A.B of the decision, so he can reimburse the absentee’s.
2. There had been no response from the council yet, in reference to the
proposed alterations agreed on the new lease. E.D will contact the council regarding this matter.
Treasurer’s Report; Treasurer not available.
Correspondence;
1. T.D reported that he had received a letter from the council, informing the club that the Public Liability Insurance must be increased to £5 Million (this applies to all clubs). T.D had spoken to S.W (Insurance Rep.) and reported that it would cost a further £150-00 per annum, when the renewal is due (May 2005).
2. A.L had received minutes of the last league meeting and said that Andy Davies had won the Division 3 batting award and Paul Williams won the bowling.
3. A.L reported there were 3 points raised regarding proposed league rule changes. These issues were discussed and A.L will attend the AGM on Sunday 28th November, and will vote on these issues decided by committee.
Ground / Maintenance Committee; No decision could be made owing to a poor turnout of committee members. A.L proposed that this issue be discussed at next meeting in January.
Cricket Matters; None.
Any Other Business;
1. O.K reported that she had booked accommodation for Cricket Tour 2005. The dates being Saturday to Saturday, 11th to 18th June 2005, for 23/24 persons. Accommodation costs being £85-00 per head (Self-Catering). Address Top of the Hill, Hope Valley, Derbyshire. A deposit of £160-00 has been paid by O.K, treasurer to re-reimburse her.
2. E.D suggested that at the next meeting, that social events for 2005 be put in place, suggestions would be appreciated. One possibility being car boot sale held at Bodlondeb.
3. A.L will look into indoor nets for 2005 etc, hopefully this can be at Ysgol Aberconwy. He will also be in touch with 1st Team and Ladies Captains to go to Ysgol Aberconwy, to represent the club as arranged with Jason (P.E Instructor) to promote cricket in Conwy.
4. A.L requested that at the next meeting that a complete non smoking ban be discussed.
5. P.D will look into entering teams into the under 15’s / 13’s Competitions.
