Matters Arising; None.

Treasurer’s Report; Nothing to Report.

Correspondence;

1. A letter from Hugh Kelly offering his availability to fill the vacant Sunday Captain’s position had been received. Proposed by E.S and seconded by B.S that the committee accept the offer. Proposal unanimously passed a letter sent to Hugh thanking him.

2. A letter received with the Welsh Cup draw for 2005. Conwy has a bye in round 1 and will play the winners of Aberystwyth / Northop at home (Conwy) on Sunday May 22nd.

Ground / Maintenance Committee; It appears that we have a problem, with G.M. He has agreed to draw up a week’s list of ground work required (in principle) and will submit a report to the next Committee Meeting.

            It was decided that a grounds committee would be formed, after a couple of week’s indoor nets hopefully with 3 members other than committee.

            G.M also proposed that a new mower should now be a priority in the Committee’s Budget.

Cricket Matters;

            1. A.L will order new cricket balls (20 1st Team) and (15 2nd Team). The Ladies require new balls, WK gloves, etc. Committee gave K.M permission to buy at Gilbert Emery and send account to club treasurer.

            2. Indoor nets have been provisionally booked at Llandudno Junction Leisure Centre (Sundays 5.00 / 7.00). Commencing Sunday February 27th for 6 weeks. Missing out Easter Sunday March 27th and ending on Sunday April 10th. However committee decided A.L would contact Aberconwy School as to availability of indoor nets on Sunday’s 10.00 am / 12.00 Noon at the school.

            3. Ground availability for 2005. It was not decided that the ground be available for any other clubs use (Rhos Fynach for example) but it was said that the artificial may be used during the day by Aberconwy School if enough interest was shown. E.S and K.M will make a visit to the school at a future date to introduce Conwy CC to the school, and offer our coaching and club facilities.

            4. E.S would like an up to date players list etc. T.D will oblige.

            5. E.S also pointed out that the first team would require a club umpire this season for all league matches.

            6. B.S reported that her school was running an under 15’s Cricket Competition this year. It would appear that we would be unable to find enough players to enter the competition.

            7. B.S said that she would like to alter the format for the Mike Steen Trophy to include Llandudno, Llanrwst, Abergele, as Mochdre and ourselves. Possible play 1 club at Conwy each year on a Rota basis. A.L will contact these clubs to find out their views.

            8. P.D said that the colts would enter a team in the Mid-Week League.

Any Other Business;

            1. Decision on Sightscreens, outdoor nets, clock, etc, to be made at next meeting.

            2. A.L will write to sponsors etc, to muster up support.

            3. Fund raising events for 2005 were sorted out, list attached.

            4. O.K reported that at the present time she had 12 persons booked for the Tour (June 11th – 18th).

            5. A complete ban on Smoking in the Bar / Lounge area will commence as from today Sunday 30th January 2005. Smoking will be permitted in the remainder of the club house. The ban was proposed by A.L and seconded by S.W.
