COMMITTEE MEETING 27th October 2005
MEETING COMMENCED @ 7.40pm
MINUTES
Present; A.Lavery, T.Davies, B.Steen, P.Davies, N.Davies, H.Kelly, E.Downes, A.Baker, E.Shillcock.
Apologies; O.Kelly, K.McIntyre.
Minutes of Previous Meeting (29-09-05); Approved.
Matters Arising;
1. E.D reported he had spoken again to Jason Jones (Reference to new lease). Jason Jones was doing a report to be put before the cabinet. It would appear that no report had yet reached the cabinet. E.D and B.S will follow up this matter.
2. Graffiti all over front and side of pavilion. A.L will contact the council and police Inspector. E.S will contact Tim Chandler to try and get it in the press.
3. E.S said that the tracksuit tops situation was still ongoing and would be ready in the New Year.
4. A.L said he had been unable to book indoors nets yet, but would contact Aberconwy School etc, during the next couple of weeks. We would be looking to book Wednesday evenings 7-00pm to 9-00pm and possibly 6-00pm to 7-00pm for the juniors (ladies) on the same night.
5. T.D said he had provisionally entered a young team in the Sunday Development League. It was agreed to continue with entry. However H.K did have some reservations. It was also said that a post on the committee might also be in order to deal with this team.
Treasurer’s Report; Attached. But A.B reported his concern that the Celts had not paid anything towards their last year’s nets.
Correspondence; T.D reported that the league had said it would be most likely the 5th division would remain with 17 teams as in 2005. But would like comments from clubs who were affected.
Cricket Matters;
1. A.L reported that he had changed his mind about retiring as chairman. This caused some concern as alternate proposals had been put in place. It appears that a ballot at the A.G.M may now be necessary.
2. E.S returned bat with inscriptions updated.
3. E.S said he wished to thank J.Sneyd, T.Davies, and S.Wypler for umpiring for the first team last season 2005.
Any Other Business;
1. A.L said that 3 matches had been arranged so far for the July 2006 tour. Sunday 23rd V Stow-On-The-Wold, Wednesday 26th V Leek Wootton, Thursday 27th V Longborough & Sezincote.
2. H.K said that the Coakley Group (Sponsor) would try and come down next summer. It was suggested that maybe he would come to the pre season inter club friendly.
3. A.L returned the vouchers presented to him at the Dinner / Dance, he said that it was appreciated and there was no disrespect to the club. He hoped the vouchers could be used for club purposes.
4. Owing to several issues re the Dinner / Dance the committee instructed T.D to write to Rhos-On-Sea Golf Club. Copy of letter attached.
