COMMITTEE MEETING 29^TH July 2004

MEETING COMMENCED @ 7.34pm

MINUTES

Present; A.Lavery, T.Davies, N.Davies, E.Downes, O.Kelly, B.Steen, E.Shillcock, A.Baker, K.McIntyre, A.Wilson, P.Williams, G.Meredith, S.Wypler.

Apologies; None.

Minutes of Previous Meeting (17-06-04) ; Approved. Proposed by A.Wilson and Seconded by E.Downes.

Matters Arising; E.S reported that the disciplinary meeting, regarding the incident at Corus Colors had been cancelled. The played involved was away on holiday.

Treasurer’s Report; Copy of report on Notice Board. Copies were given to committee Members.

Captain’s Reports;

            1st Team; Generally happy with good results. But reports that opposition mostly very poor.

            2^nd Team; Results still poor, but should avoid relegation as they have to play the bottom three teams.

            Ladies Celts; Bit disappointing at availability of players, otherwise fairly happy.

            Sundays; Only played two games so far and won both.

Cricket Matters;

            1. Blue Grass request use of showers, etc will be discussed at next meeting.

            2. Concern has been reported to the playing of wickets and a number of games being played on the same wicket. E.S will have a word with G.M.

            3. Some concern has been reported on the manner of the game, played against Mochdre, for the Mike Steen Cup. Sunday’s game will be played, and the future of the games to be reconsidered.

            4. A.L reported that one match was confirmed for the September tour, two others possible, and waiting for replies from several others.

Any Other Business;

            1. Sawdust is required, S.W will collect some from Mochdre.

            2. S.W suggested that a thought given for insurance cover for Umpires.

            3. It was proposed by A.L and seconded by T.D to buy two new toilet seats for the ladies.

            4. A.L proposed buying a new carpet for the lounge area, it was decided to put the proposal on hold for the present time it was decided to replace the bar floor with vinyl covering !!

            5. All committee members have now received draft copies of the proposed new lease. A special meeting to be arranged to discuss the lease, as soon as possible.
