MINUTES
Present; T.Davies, B.Steen, O.Kelly, A.Wilson, E.Shillcock, E.Downes, N.Davies, A.Baker, S.Wypler.
Apologies; A.Lavery, K.McIntyre.
Minutes of Previous Meeting (26-08-04); Approved. Proposed by O.Kelly. Seconded by E.Shillcock.
Matters Arising; Nothing to report.
Treasurer’s Report; Report Attached.
- £104.00 Cash to add, proceeds of catering. It was proposed by A.W and seconded by E.S that it be recorded what an excellent job A.B had done in picking up the loose ends, and bringing the accounts to date.
Captain’s Reports;
1st Team; E.S reported a successful season gaining promotion and only loosing the season on games lost.
2nd Team; A.W reported a very disappointing season with the team being relegated. Just no consistency in team or individual performances.
Sunday Team; N.D reported no games played in recent weeks.
Ladies Celts; No report available (But a fair season).
Midweek; No games played of late, mainly due to rain.
Awards for 2004; List of winners is attached.
Correspondence; T.D reported a couple of letters received, but both concerning A.G.M, for discussion.
Cricket Matters;
1. It was reported that A.Wilson and A.Davies had to take their cars on the Worfield Trip. It was agreed that they should be paid petrol money. The round trip being 210 Miles for each car. The current mileage allowance being 12p per mile. A.B will settle claims.
2. It was agreed that the Groundsman G.M given £120-00 again this year for his work over the season.
3. E.S said that all the players agreed that the Club Cricket Tour to the Cotswold’s had been very successful. And all members agreed a tour to Derbyshire in 2005 would be great. Preferably June or very early July.
4. E.D reported that he had 41 bookings up to date for the Dinner / Presentation Night on 28th October. Prizes for the raffle would be gratefully received by B.S. It was reported that a fleece with club logo and a track top had been donated.
5. B.S said that only 28 persons had so far booked for the Blackpool Trip on the 23rd of October.
6. E.S said that he felt that a long term policy for the Ground and Machinery Maintenance should be put in place and Proposed that it would be put on the A.G.M agenda. The proposal was passed by the Committee.
Any Other Business;
1. A meeting was held on Wednesday 1st September to discuss the proposed new lease. Several issues were raised. E.D took note, and has contacted the council to arrange a meeting. Proposal was passed by the Committee.
2. The summer Fantasy Cricket League was won by Mathew Brierley (£20 Prize), 2nd Prize of £10 went to J.Wilkinson, and 3rd Prize of £5 went to A.Lavery. The player Prize of £15 went to A.Davies. All prizes were donated by Ravenscroft Homes N.W, it also raised a further £61-50 for the club funds.
